EA 0.96.5 Patch
This patch brings fixes to governor feature and colony development, quality of life improvements to space combat as well as the ability to inspect enemy fleets and defences.
The issues found with the new governor feature had been fixed:
- Changed the governors budget to only Net Tax Income.
- Added option to allow for negative credit spending.
- Fixed inaccurate display of budget and spending amounts.
- Added warning label for Insufficient Income for the governor to be used without aid.
- Fixed the issue that caused governor to be disabled when tax income of colony less then or equal 0.
- Added warning label when available credits less then the needed governor budget when negative credit spending turned off.
- Fixed the issue that caused manually set development to be zeroed out next turn even when the governor was disabled.
Colony Menu UI Bug
Happy to report that a long standing bug, that I have thought have got rid of before; had been fixed. This bug involuntarily changed the amount of development of housing and other sectors when switching between colonies using the next arrow button. When a change was made to development of a colony and then switched to the next colony the corresponding development on the second colony was effected. It was a UI related issue that was triggered under weird coincidences. R.I.P.
Off Screen Location Pointer
and
On Screen Location Marker
Created new features for space combat that helps the player tracking and locating space assets on the battlefield.
The off screen location pointer indicates the direction of assets relative to the player's position when they are off screen. The pointer is an arrow that points in the direction of the asset at the edge of the screen, tracking its relative position, giving the player an indication in which direction to point its view, if it wants to see the asset.
The on screen location marker hovers over the space assets that are in the distance, allowing the player to easily find them even from far away. The marker is an arrow pointing down to the asset's location and scales with the distance to the player's location so it can easily be seen.
Each of these indicators only work on detected assets and they are coloured according to their faction colour.
These features can be toggled with ALT key or using the Tactical button.
Inspect The Other Side
Added the feature of inspecting fleets, defences, stations and even the local reserve of selected star chart assets other then just your empire.
This feature that was suggested by soulieberlin allows the player to take a look at the loadout of enemy vessels to asses their capabilities.
It works just by selecting detected assets and using their inspect action button to open their management menu, where you can take a closer look at them without being able to edit their loadout.
Other Fixes:
- Fixed Beam and Laser weapons causing 0 hull damage.
- Fixed research warning after loading save game.
- Fixed torpedo slot being unset after loading save game.
- Fixed Valor carrier default hangar loadout.
